The Swiss Half Fare Card is for tourists and is valid for one month.
The Half Fare Travelcard is for residents; you need a card called SwissPass with your photo, an identity check and a postal address in Switzerland to receive your card. This is a yearly subscription, you must cancel it at least one month before expiration to avoid an automatic renewal.
