Swiss Family Card on EC trains to Italy

Hi, I want to buy two Swiss Half Fare passes for my husband and I and get the free Family Pass so our two children travel for free. We will be arriving from Paris and then leaving to Venice. I understand that within Switzerland the children do not need tickets due to the Family Pass but I want to be able to book the full leg across the border. Chat GPT advises I book the legs in two bookings but I would prefer to have it as one as this is how we will travel and it will then show all the connections for me. How can I add the children so they are seen as travellers for the non Swiss leg? Can I enter them as co-passengers with Children’s Co-travelcard pass so they don’t attract a charge but I can at least pay for their non Swiss component or will this cause issues if our tickets are checked on the train? It is advisable to buy separate tickets from the border station to Venice on Trenitalia website or app, because you have special offers for families in Italy (e.g. Frecciafamily), which may be not available on sbb.ch.
