Been using EasyRide for more than 2,5 years on almost daily basis, and never encountered such an issue (iOS though 😉). As long as you can somehow present a valid QR-code, there’s absolutely no reason for the ticket inspector for not being happy.
It has already happened to me to fully close the SBB Mobile app while still being checked in, but this didn’t check me out and the QR-Code was still there after restarting. Also, the server infrastructure ‘knows’ that you are checked in, as starting EasyRide a 2nd time on a different device using the same swisspass userID is prevented. So therefore, in case no QR-code would show up at all, fully restarting the app would be the next obvious thing to try (but what do I know).
