Difference between the Saver day pass and Day Pass for 2

Hello everyone,
Please teach me the difference between the Saver day pass and Day Pass for 2 ?
I plan to use the train with my wife.
In that case, I think the “Day Pass for 2” would be cheaper than Saver day pass X 2.
Is that correct?

Yes, provided one of you has got the Swiss Half Card.

Without the Swiss Half Fare Card, you can only purchase full fare Saver Day Passes, full fare Supersaver tickets, or full fare point-to-point tickets, or the Swiss Travel Pass and other regional passes.

Correct. The conditions for the Day Pass for 2 are:

Depending on your travel plans (e.g. you gonna stay a few days) the Swiss Half Fare Card could be a great investment. Purchasing full fare tickets can get very costly especially if you plan mountain excursions. If you are going to spend more than CHF 300 on tickets per person, you are break even and the half fare card pays off. This just as a small side note.

Also today, I learned that the Day Pass for 2 cannot be purchased without the Half Fare Card.
