Confused by my Lugano to Milan Ticket:14:02 to 18:02 for a 75 minute trip?

I just purchased the tickets for the Lugano to Milan portion of my Wife and I’s Tuesday, Oct. 24th journey from Zurich to Florence, with a 2-½ hour lunch break in Lugano. I already purchased the tickets to travel from Zurich to Lugano via Airolo. We arrive in Lugano around 11:30.

I bought tickets from the SBB website for the RE80 train that leaves Lugano around 14:00 and arrives in Milat around 15:20. I then intended to take a 16:40 Italo train from Milan to Florence. But my ticket is showing an arrival time in Milan of 18:02, a 4 hour trip. Why do these times on my ticket have nothing to do with the times shown on the trip description?

Your ticket is an Arcobaleno Transfrontaliera fare. Such type of ticket is valid for 240 minutes. This means, it is valid for unlimited travel on all public transportation services on the selected route. The time of validity does not reflect the effective travel time.

Kindly note, Arcobaleno Transfrontaliera tickets are not valid on Eurocity trains.
