Cancelled train from Basel to Milan

Hi everyone,

My train (EC 153), bought on Trenitalia, got cancelled related to the Gothard’s problem. The train should have left Basel at 15:03. It seems that the train IC 10153 takes the same route and leaves at 15:03 as well. As you may know, EC have been changed to IC so it is likely the same train. The difference only being that it arrives in Lugano, but I could take a train to Milan from there.

I have two questions: can I board this train with my current ticket? Is the information about train IC 10153 accurate (is the route actually served)?

All tickets with booking date before 28.08.2023, show an incorrect departure time from the boarding point north of the Gotthard tunnel.

Because nothing changes except the travel time on your connection (same train number), both the ticket and the seat reservation remain valid and you do not need to make any adjustments on your booking.
