Super saver ticket from airport

I would like to purchase supersaver tickets from Zurich to our destination in Switzerland, for the train a little after we are scheduled to land from overseas (obviously leaving plenty of time for disembarking etc). What if our flight is delayed and we miss our train? Would we be able to exchange our tickets for a later train upon landing? If so, is there a fee? Would it make a difference if we called ahead before we took off to inform SBB of the necessary change? What are our options?

Thank you for your request.

You can only exchange or refund a Supersaver Ticket in exceptional cases. A late flight does not offer the possibility to exchange tickets free of charge. A phone call cannot change anything.

If you cannot travel on the booked connection of the Supersaver Ticket, you have the option of buying a ticket at the normal fare (no Supersaver Ticket) for the same day. We can only refund tickets with the completely identical route and class. We charge a fee of CHF 10.- for the refund of the Supersaver Ticket. If you are not sure if you can travel as planned, I recommend not buying a super saver ticket.
