In September, I plan to travel from Luzern to Paris (changing trains at Basel and Strasbourg). I have a Swiss Travel Pass, which covers the leg between Luzern and Basel at no charge, but when I tried to book the entire trip through the SBB website, there was no clear way to take advantage of the Travel Pass for that leg. Should I book the Basel-Paris leg separately in advance to make sure I arrive in Paris on schedule, and then trust that once I arrive in Switzerland, I’ll still have time (about a week) and a sufficient choice of trains to arrange the Lucerne-Basel leg using my Pass?
