Half price cards for adults and teenagers

Hello, we are looking to travel close to Christmas time. We have two adults and two teenagers. Does everyone in the family need to buy a halfprice TravelCard or can just the adults by half-price travel cards and then purchase a teenagers ticket underneath the adults?

Everyone over the age of 16 years needs a Half Fare Card in order to be able to purchase a reduced ticket. If your Children are younger than 16 years, i recomment the Junior Travelcard. Please find more information here.

Thank you for your response/help with this. If we are to do quite a bit of travel for about a month around Switzerland, is the half fair card the best option?

If you plan to make excursions with mountain railroads and cable cars, then the Swiss Half Fare Card is the best option because many mountain routes are only partially included in most passes.

If you are more likely to stay in the cities, I rather recommend the Swiss Travel Pass.
