Trains from Chur to Tirano

Hi. I am looking to travel from Chur to Tirano in June. Looking at the Bernina website it offers different options, the first is:

Chur - Tiranovia Samedan - Bus PAG - PoschiavoSecond Chur - Tiranovia Samedan - PontresinaApart from the cost, can anyone tell me what the difference is beyween these trains/trips?

The Bernina Express Train goes from Chur via Pontresina - Poschiavo to Tirano and back over the same route.

The only oficial Bus connection from Bernina goes actually from Tirano to Lugano, not from Chur to tirano.
