Hello, I hope this email finds you well. I recently purchased a Saver Day Pass but mistakenly selected a GA Travelcard, 2nd class instead of the No travelcard option. I would like to inquire if there is any issue with my selection and whether I should seek a refund and repurchase the pass.

You probably bought a reduced Saver Day Pass instead of one at full fare. In this case you can refund the Saver Day Pass provided you buy a new one at full fare. Or, you buy the (Swiss) Half Fare Card in addition.

I’m wondering if there could be any issues with ticket validation on the train when the GA travelcard was selected but purchased at the regular price instead of the discounted amount. I do not possess a GA travelcard.

I don’t get your remark. If you have a Saver Day Pass bought at a reduced fare (not matter what you have chosen as reduction GA, Half Fare Card, etc.), you must be in the possession of the Swiss Half Fare Card; otherwise it is not valid.

If you do not have the Swiss Half Fare Card, and you are not considering buying it, then you have to refund the Saver Day Pass and buy one at full fare. Only then, your Saver Day Pass at reduced fare will be refunded.
