Hello,
I have an FIP discount card, which is valid on SBB, BLS and 32 private operators (RhB, SOB…).
My employer’s FIP guide says that I can obtain my FIP discount by buying single tickets and selecting the Halbtax option on the ticket machine. It states that sometimes I will be issued with a zonal ticket but that I can only use this on FIP operators (even if it would normally be valid on buses/trams).
However, I will be doing multiple journeys each day during my time in Switzerland, and therefore using single tickets may be quite expensive. Therefore my questions are:
1) Can I select the Halbtax/Reduziert option when buying day tickets (e.g. ZVV 9-Uhr-Tagespass, TNW Tageskarte), as long as I only use FIP operators?
2) Can I select the Halbtax option when travelling using the Easyride function of the SBB ticket, as long as I only use FIP operators?
Thank you!
