GA validity to french border (Vallorcine)

I am a GA holder and I will soon have a trip to chamonix. The SBB train reached Vallorcine which is already in France. On the GA validity map I can see that the last station is Le Châtelard-frontière. Do i need to buy a ticket between Le Châtelard-frontière and Vallorcine even though the connection is the same (SBB train)?

Yes, you do need a ticket from Le Châtelard.frontière to Vallorcine. The fact that it’s a swiss SBB train, doesn’t have an influence on that.

Today in 2024 the New Border Station from TMR/SBBCFFFFS and SNCF is now Vallorcine F.
From Martginy (Wallis) to Vallorcine (F) you Can Drive Free with You GA or Swisstravel Pass.

From Vallorcine to Chamonix Gare is the GA not Valid.
