I am taking a train from Zurich to Lyon, transfer in Geneva (party of 2). I am planning on going 1st class. Is there anyway to reserve seats? The website/app does not allow it for Europe trains but wondering if I can call to pick my seat? I also saw online that reserving a seat is not needed, getting a good seat that day should be easy. Thank you,

As there are TER-trains from Geneva to Lyon, you cannot reserve seats. At it is also not needed. Seat reservation is only possible and mandatory on TGV trains.
