Dear SBB,

Is there any interruption/maintenance for Visp to Zermatt in coming november 2023.? Based on SBB website, the connections had changed to a bus between Visp to Tasch.

I can’t purchase the bus ticket as well from Visp to Tasch.

Please advice

Thank you for your request.

From 16 October to 9 November, work is being carried out on the railway line between Visp and Täsch. For this reason, replacement buses are being organised. It is not possible to buy tickets for the buses, so we advise you to buy them from the driver.

On November 8th, I will travel by car from Milan to Zermatt.
You should go by car to Tasch but there will be works on the railway line.

Where should I go with my car and how do I continue my trip?

Well, in November it would be more convenient to go by train, there are direct trains from Milan to Brig. Weather can be very unpleasant in Switzerland in November and winter tyres are definitely recommended.

The trains remain in service between Täsch and Zermatt during the day and will be replaced by buses late in the evening:

Due to planned construction work, buses will run instead of trains on connections from Täsch from 22.30 to 01.00 hrs.
