If you only want to travel from Basel to Bern or Zurich, this is the cheapest option.
But, if you decide to go further (to the south in Lugano, or to the french part) than you should consider the Swiss Travel Pass | Schweiz Tourismus (myswitzerland.com
The GA Card (CHF 420.00) does not renew automatically, but in your case the SwissTravel Pass for 4 days is much cheaper.
