Will construction delay train Zurich to Chur?

We have seats and reservations for the Bernina Express on 16 October. I just saw a construction notice for our train ride from Zurich to Chur. It says “Limited service on the Zürich HB - Sargans line between Siebnen-Wangen and Reichenburg Due to engineering work” The schedule still shows leaving Zurich at 7:07am arriving Chur at 8:22 and Bernina leaving at 8:28 for Tirano. Will we miss The Bernina Express or does this mean they are not making stops along the way from Zurich to Chur? Thank you!

During construction work, the timetable is adjusted, please look at the timetable from time to time until October, the timetable should adapt again to the construction work.

I can understand. We can’t give you the certainty about the timetable. If there are construction works, we must point out that delays may occur. In general, this is only the case in truly exceptional circumstances. I recommend that you simply take the first connection from Zurich to Chur at 6am on 16 October, then there will be enough time. Regarding tickets that are not available anymore: Did you buy them as a guest or with a login? With login you just have to make sure that you are logged in again with the same login to retrieve them.

Thank you for your comment. The problem is that we don’t arrive until 14 October and have to know if we are able to get to Chur by 8:38am 16 October as the Bernina Express tickets from Chur are purchased. If not, would have to cancel a hotel room in Zurich, find one in Chur, and still find a way to get to Chur. If not done by a certain date, we have to pay for the room and may not find hotel in Chur that close to the day. I am not familiar with the Swiss rail system so I read the warning posted in the schedule as literal. It says their could be cancellations or delays. For example, if all morning trains are cancelled on 16 October, we will miss the Bernina express and all of the other train rides I have tickets for later in the day. I don’t know how to trust we will get there. Also, my tickets have disappeared from my SBB account with no explanation. I luckily printed them out but have no way to prove they are still valid. I will have to keep trying to reach someone to get help.
