I got a punishment about 90 CHF on the train IC51 from Laufen to Basel to be as “no ticket”.
However, in fact, I have bought the ticket this morning 7:14, but have no idea why from SBB app, the due date has been setup for 21th Aug, but not today time, and I didn’t see it, until the conductor said I have “no ticket” by scanning this wrong data one.
And I have other prove that it was absolutely not my wish to buy the ticked on 21th Aug for this trip, because for the 21th Aug trip, I already bought the tickets long time ago the same time, from Delemont to Basel (thank to the construction work, I need to take bus from Delemont to Laufen then to train to Basel these days, therefore, today was only Laufen to Basel). Therefore I have no any reason to buy one more time for 21th Aug.
I explained to the conductor, I showed him everything I have. However, the conductor showed no understanding and poker face, like it is none of his business but I have to pay the full punishment.
It is very difficult for me to accept this. From Delemont to Basel, I have travelled for more than 4 years, this is the first time I did this kind of mistake (just back from holiday, might be a bit lost). I really hope, I could get a fair warning rather than a full punishment.
I felt very sad with the conductor’s cold reaction, none of his business, I made my own mistake, no matter what I bought or did, he just finished his job. The life runs with regulation but should also be with kindness. The ID he was so proud to give (seems he was happily doing his job and got me, the bad person) is 1609 (train?) *Admin: we have hidden the personal number = data protection.
And also, by this moment, I understand so well why he was so “willing” to show me his ID and so on, because, there is no way to contact SBB, no way to make the complaint, no way to defend ourselves. So, to say, yes, I bought the wrong ticket, due the rule, it is less than 10 CHF, I could even not able to get this double pay ticket back.
