I would like to book a train ticket from Zermatt to Milano Centrale on 24 October 2023

But the website show that the train is already fully booked or has been cancelled due to engineering work.

May I know what is the issue?

Not all the data for the winter timetable has been updated yet International also it can be due to construction work.
Which connection exactly so which time did you choose?

If not available may I know alternative way travel to Milano Centrale from Zermatt?

From 16 October to 9 November 2023, work is being carried out on the railway line between Täsch and Visp. For this reason, replacement buses are being organised. It is not possible to buy tickets for the buses, so we advise you to buy them from the driver or directly at the ticket office in Zermatt.

The Visp - Zermatt line is not operated by SBB. For any other questions, please contact the company Matterhorn Gotthard Railway directly.

NicolasK Is this also affected the train from Grindelwald Terminal to Zermatt on 22 Oct? Cause I already bought the ticket last month from Grindelwald Terminal to Zermatt on the SBB website and did not receive any information about this

On the route from Grindelwald to Zermatt you are travelling via Visp. And there you’ll change to a bus. If you already have a ticket which covers the whole trip to Zermatt you are fine.
