Best way to travel with my ski bag (only skiing 4 out of 10 days in Switzerland)?

I will try and keep this as simple as possible but it is a bit complex so I will use day numbers to help it make sense. My wife and I will be travelling to Switzerland for 11 days in January 2019. this will be our first time in Switzerland. We are flying into Zurich, spending that 1st night in Zurich, day 2 we head to Lucerne, day 3 to Interlaken and day 4 to Zermatt. We will be skiing 3 days in Zermatt (day 5, 6, 7), leaving day 8 for Chur via the Glacier Express. We will take a train the evening of our 8th day to Churwalden. We are skiing day 9 at Arosa Lenzerheide then taking a train back to Zurich on day 10. Flying out back to the States on day 11.

My plan was to use the luggage service, checking our ski bag at our airport with it arriving in Zermatt. My questions are

Should we just check it ourselves in Zurich to Zermatt?
Our baggage will arrive earlier than us to the station in Zermatt, will this be an issue? Should we try to have our hotel pick it up?
Can I take the ski baggage on the Glacier Express?
If we cannot take it on the Glacier Express is there an express service to have the baggage in Chur by the evening of our 8th day if we drop it off by the evening of our 7th day (in Zermatt)?

I will try to answer your question in the right order.

1. Yes, it is possible to send you Ski baggage from the airport in Zürich to Zermatt. If you send it on your day 1 before 7pm they will arrive in Zermatt on day 3 in the morning (9am).

2. There is no problem for the pick up one day later in Zermatt.

3. The Ski baggage are allowed in the Glacier Express.

4. No, we do not offer any Express Offer to be able to get your ski on time in Churwalden
