Dear SBB,

Please advise how do I submit compensation request to credit to my Singapore Bank Account or Credit card account. The compensation form for delayed arrival request for SWISS Bank Account.

The credit of a refund is always made directly to the payment method used. It does not matter which bank.

MelanieD I am facing with the same issue as well. I do not have a Swiss Bank Account and the online compensation form requires a Swiss Bank Account. How are people from other countries supposed to file for compensation. I have also tried calling + 41 51 225 78 00 number listed above and no one answers the phone. This is very frustrating to deal with the compensation process for no fault of ours. Can Someone at SBB give a clear process and direction to the people from Outside of Switzerland on how we can claim our compensation. Currently the claim compensation process process has gaps and needs to be addressed by SBB. Is there an email who we can write to about this?

skatoch74 It’s been over 48 hrs, since my above request was posted and no one from SBB has responded still. This just shows inefficiencies in the system, and how we as customers have to suffer and bear extra costs for no fault of ours.

skatoch74 I am having the same issue. It will not let me submit without the IBAN field filled in (US banks do not use IBAN). If the refund is made to the payment method used as MelanieD says above, why would they make the IBAN field a mandatory field? Very frustrating.

For a refund we do not need an IBAN from the customer, as the money will be automatically refunded to the same payment method as was used for the purchase.

Hi Melanie,

I appreciate you repeating false information as though that will make it true, but the website will not allow you to submit a claim without including an IBAN number. See below.

For others on this thread, I submitted a help request via the SBB app and a representative reached out to me asking for the relevant information via email. Hopefully that solves it.
