Half Fare Travel Card/ Annual Bus Pass

Hello everyone,

If I have a half fare card, does that allow the person to purchase annual bus passes also at a half price or this is not valid for annual pass? Thank you

No, the Half Fare Card does not grant any reductions on fare network passes as they are subsidised by the canton(s) and therefore are available at reduced cost already.

Consequently, fare network passes at half fare do not exist.

RolandP Thanks Ronald for the response. So does that mean the fare reduction is only in the trains and boats which is operated by SBB and not on the bus tickets which are operated by other agencies like tpg for geneva?

The Half Fare reduction applies on all point-to-point tickets, also those from fare networks.

It is different for fare network passes, and travel cards. They are heavily discounted by default to make commuting attractive. Therefore, the Half-Fare travelcard cannot be accounted additionally.
