dog ticket for ticket from Zurich HB to Innsbruck

Hi! I am trying to purchase a ticket for my friend and her dog from Zurich HB -> Innsbruck. Do I add her dog as a separate passenger? My friend does not have the halb-tax. Or can I use a day pass from here: https://www.sbb.ch/en/travel-information/individual-needs/travelling-with-dogs.html?

Welcome to the SBB Community.

I, personally, suggest booking the ticket with ÖBB, the Austrian railways. There you can even book dog tickets.

Please keep in mind: To ensure the passenger safety, dogs on ÖBB trains (including international trains) must wear a muzzle and be secured by a leash.

The Day Pass Dog is not valid in Austria.

RolandP Hi! I have a couple of other questions that hopefully you can help with regarding dogs. My dog is bigger so she won’t be in a carrier, but I can have a muzzle and a leash no problem. Is that ok? I will be traveling from Geneva to Neuchatel. Is it possible to travel with my larger dog (only leash and muzzle) on those sbb trains with the sbb dog pass? Thanks! -SC
