Travel from Zurich to Interlaken

I’m trying to purchase a return ticket from Zurich to Interlaken for a single day visit.

I have selected my outgoing time, but there is no option to select a return time; can I just get on any train once I have decided to go back as long as it goes to Zurich? If I have a connection at a station such as Bern, can I leave and look around before taking the next train?

The ticket I was looking at was a saver day pass

I second Krist’s advice. Going to visit Interlaken is a waste of time. If, you should visit the area around of it, not the town itself.

Saver Day Pass is an “all you can eat” public transit pass. So you can use that to go anywhere in Switzerland on any public transport. So you are not limited to a particular service.

So buy it, and then use it to go somewhere more interesting than Interlaken. Luzern is a good option, as you can use the pass on the lake boats, the Rigi railway etc…
