Unclear Encounter with a Ticket Inspector on the Bus

Hello Mate.
Today, while I was on the bus, a ticket inspector approached me and asked for my ticket. I showed him my EasyRide journey on my mobile. Then, he asked for my ID, so I presented my SwissPass and residence permit. After that, he said something in German, which I couldn’t understand, and then he left.

Now, I’m unsure whether I was fined or what exactly he was trying to tell me. He didn’t give me any receipt, but I’m still uncertain about what happened.

If your ticket was considered invalid, you would have got a paper document that states ‘Travel without a valid ticket’ which you had to sign, too.

Ticket inspectors can ask for an additional proof of identity at any time.
