Hi! My partner and I are both under the age of 25 and would like to utilize the Friends Day Pass For Youth as we’re traveling to Switzerland for a day trip. Do we need to be Swiss citizens to use this pass? Will only one of us need to purchase the pass for both of us to use it? Also are we able to travel to Grindelwald with this train pass? Thank you!

NO; it is also available for tourists above 25 years of age.

YES, exactly.

NO it offers pure public transportation.
In the Jungfrau area, mountain trains are to be paid extra. If you want to go up, you could go to Lauterbrunnen, and from there to Grütschalp, and from there to Mürren, all included in the day pass. This trip offers stunnning views on the mountains, if the weather is suitable.

Hi again! Is the Friends Day Pass For Youth valid for 24 hours from time of booking or from 12am- 11:59pm?

Day passes are valid from 00:00 till 5:00 the next day.
(Note that railways use the 24 hour clock here…)

Hi, does it matter who’s name and birthday is added into the Friends Day Pass for Youth? Or should the oldest person purchase the ticket? Also just to double check, if I purchase the ticket, all my partner needs to do is ride along with me and present his ID/Passport if asked on the train? Thank you!

One of the party has to purchase the FDP for Youth, no matter whom.

Important is, all members are under 25 years of age and everyone has their physical passport or identity card, issued by the government, with them.

Does it make sense?
