Revolute via Google pay being rejected

I am trying to buy tickets using Google pay , which is linked to my swiss revolute account, but the transactions are being rejected. I ensured the card is not blocked, has enough funds , and works when in stores, both physical card and via tap with phone.

Hi Roland I contacted revolute and they informed me the transaction was cancelled on the sbb side. And they cannot see the reason it was cancelled on their side.

Tell them to enable 3DS2 (3D Secure), see other discussions like:

Or use a different 3DS2 enabled credit card, any card issued in Switzerland should support it.

Google Pay and Apple Pay don’t need a 3-D verfication, because Google and Apple take the responsability to verify the identity, for example with a biometric identification on the smartphone.

SBB transactions are handled by Datatrans.

SBB does not know why a transaction has been denied either. Make sure 3D secure is enabled, as suggest by @RedBaron .

I am a Corner Card customer for 25 years and I have never ever faced a failed transaction.
