Hi, I am planning to travel to Europe this December from USA and my itinerary is Paris -> Interlaken -> Lucerne -> Zurich -> Munich -> Amsterdam. I was seeing train tickets and had the following questions? - Are the tickets refundable? (I saw that I should check when booking ticket but was not able to find the info) - I see transfers of 5 minutes, is this possible with 1 28inch bag and 1 cabin bag? - If I miss my connection, can I catch the next one without having to buy new tickets? - Any tips for a first time traveller. I think that an Eurail Global Pass could be the best offer for you. You have usually a sale end of November with 25% discount, but check the conditions to find if the passes are refundable or not.

Sure it is. Changing trains is just walking of one train and on to another. If your bag has wheels you just drag it behind you.

Danhiel Thank you. That definitely looks like a good option if I buy the 4 day travel pass. I will check if I can show this pass for my visa requirements.
I will compare costs with booking individual legs.
Also, do you know if the 5 minute connections are risky or safe?

Short connections are risky if you have to wait for two hours for the next train, e.g. Zurich - Munich. In this case, I would take an earlier train to avoid stress. No problem with this pass.
