Duo day pass & Half fare

Hello Community,

Deindeal is currently running a promotion for the Duo Day-pass, at 129 chf (1st class) for two people.
It mentions “One person must be in possession of a valid Half-Fare travelcard.”

Our travel group consists of 4 people: 2 with Half fare card, and SBB day pass (1st class).
Are the other 2 people eligible to purchase the Duo Day pass (neither have a Half fare card)? Or will either of these 2 require purchasing a half fare card?

If yes, are there any Black Friday/ Christmas promos currently for a trial half fare card?

What do you mean with “and SBB day pass”? Have these two persons a “Duo Day Pass” or another day pass (e.g. Saver Day Pass)?

Two people (A & B) have Half fare cards and each have SBB Day Pass for the Half fare travelcard (https://www.sbb.ch/en/offers/day-pass-for-the-half-fare-travelcard)

Can the other 2 people - C & D (without half fare) purchase and use the Duo Day pass while traveling on the same day, together with A & B?
Or will either C or D need to have a valid Half fare card?

We are confused with the condition “One person must be in possession of a valid Half-Fare travelcard.”
Does this apply to the entire group traveling together? Or just the people who will be using the Duo Pass?

Either C or D will need a valid Half Fare Card and have to buy the Duo Day Pass. This doesn’t apply to the entire group traveling together.

You could perhaps obtain a refund of the day passes (except Saver Day Passes) and buy two new Duo Day Passes: A will travel with C and B will travel with D.
