Payment Error

I was trying to purchase Swiss half price fare card and trying to do the transaction from USA.
Once the credit card information is provided it keeps saying below - but there is nothing wrong with the card as I call the credit card bank and they said no transacation was blocked. I checked that i am using Chrome which is supported browser . Anyother things to watch for online purchase from other countries.

The payment could not be finalised. Please check your card details.

Thanks for the pointer to very interesting thread. I was using Chase Visa and looks like that is no-go. After reading the thread I tried with Citi Visa and it presented the screen for additional authentication - which I thought was going to do it- but after submitting the code it ended up with below error.

Assuming we can’t call in and give the card over phone and buy?

The payment process was rejected by the financial institution. Please repeat the process with a different payment method.

thought i would provide an update, I tried with Capital One Visa and it presented the code screen and with Capital one Visa it was successful.

In case others who are having similar challenge and has a Capital One Visa card might benefit from the post.
