How to reserve a seat with a super saver class upgrade

We are 2nd class Swiss Pass holders and purchased 4 super saver class upgrades in the SBB Mobile App for a specific train trip from Luzern to Interlaken Ost. I didn’t see the option to reserve a seat when purchasing the upgrades and now I can’t see how to reserve a seat. Help please. Thanks

I assume you meant Swiss Travel Pass. The Swiss Pass is a red plastic card onto which residents can load their transport tickets, but by no means a ticket itself.

Keaxaumbait90 I don’t see how to reserve a seat.

You don’t have to, but it’s probably a good idea if you are travelling in peak season. Yoiu can reserve seats on the website of Lucerne Tourism.

This line is normally operated once per hour, trains starting in Lucerne six minutes past the hour.

During the peak seaon, there are additional trains serving the line, starting in Lucerne 24 minutes past the hour. Saver tickets and Supersaver class upgrades are offered for these trains to make the people use these trains and not the regular trains.

Yes, thank you - we have the non resident Swiss travel pass - I went to the Luzern Tourism site and it does not show the 10:24 train for which we purchased the super saver class upgrades on the SBB. Confused.

It is only possible to reserve seats on the PE trains departing at xx.06. You can’t reserve seats on the IR train. But don’t wory, the IR trains are usually not as crowded as the PE.

The IR trains use older stock, and so do not have panoramic coaches. Sit on the right side in the direction of travel for the best views.
The PE trains used to be called IR as well, and are in fact regular trains, used by people going about their daily business, and as such do not require reservations either.
