Buying train tickets with swiss travel pass

Hi, can i check how to ‘buy’ / reserve train tickets with swiss travel pass? the train tickets are supposedly covered by STP but the only option i can choose on sbb is Half Fare which means i still have to pay 50%

Thank you for your question.

If you have the Swiss Travel Pass, you can travel fro free by train, bus and boat, you do not need to buy additional tickets.

If you wish to purchase a seat reservation, you can do so in the SBB Mobile App or on our webiste: Seat reservations in trains and dining cars | SBB

Concerning privat railways or mountain cable car not completely covered by the Swiss Travel Pass, you can buy a ticket on their website with the possibility of enterning “Swiss Travel Pass” as a reduction.

Thanks Eleonora. am i right to say i have to pay additional reservation fee for STP but do not if i use half fare?

may i also check as i am travelling from milan to zurich and seem like there is half fare discount (not 50% but few bucks off) but none for swiss travel pass?
