Using Swiss Pass from Switzerland to Germany

Can I use Swiss Pass for travelling from Zurich to Frankfurt? I have read on the internet that I have to purchase a ticket from the German border for a destination inside Germany. Kindly, advice the procedure to obtain the ticket from the German border.

You can buy a ticket to Germany in Switzerland as well, up until your final destination, not only up until the border.

Depending on what travelcard you have active on your SwissPass, you can even get a discount for the part abroad (for examle, if you have a Half fare travelcard, you get 15% discount for the german part of your journey).
